Matthew Nightingale

Matthew Nightingale is an ex prisoner who for the last 12 years has been creating intricate and laboriously crafted paintings. He is entirely self-taught, each work taking between 6 -12 months to complete.

He was introduced to the Henry Boxer Gallery through the Koestler Trust, with whom he exhibited and was a prize winner at their last London exhibition. This is the first time any of his original work has been offered for sale, as the artist could previously not bear to part with them, but now feels it would be nice for his efforts to be appreciated and perhaps admired.

Henry Boxer is planning to organise a one-man New York Gallery show for the artist in 2019.
