NOTE ON CABINET CARDS SERIES:
When the text was Channelled into me of THE LIGHT IS LEAVING US ALL, I was shown a beautiful and terrifying vision of THE LIGHT Leaving Us All, and returning to its HOME as we go, or prepare to go, to our LONG HOME (Ecclesiastes XII:5). I see it now, in front of my eyes like a Ghost.

I created several hundred of these pieces, using original late-19th, and early 20th-, century Victorian and Edwardian cabinet cards, primarily British. On each of them I painted THE LIGHT leaving the Quick and the Dead. The majority of these pieces formed one of the main installations of my exhibition Invocation Of Almost at the Begovich Gallery, in California. They will stay as one unit in the installation.

Not all the pieces went to the Begovich Gallery, however, as I carried on painting them after all my artwork had left for California. So I am offering some for purchase here through the Henry Boxer Gallery.

Each photograph is titled, and signed, in white ink on the back by me.

David Tibet+++, MayDayMay 2019.

I was born in Malaysia in 1960, and I am the face and the mask behind my paramusical project Current 93.

My paintings reflect my obsessions and daydreams, and channel the many cartoon apocalypses I see and hear in my heads and my hearts. When not recording and painting, I like to translate Coptic apocryphal texts, as well as Akkadian and Babylonian epics and epics from cuneiform. I collect Photographs of Ghosts and I love Cats.

A retrospective exhibition of my art, and of my other sidereal lateral activities, is currently showing at the Begovich Gallery at California State University in March 2019; an extensively-illustrated catalogue will also be published in autumn 2019 which will show much and more of my work.

Thank You and God Bless You All.
